Motivation is an essential part of our life. When we are motivated we can be busy and at the same time enjoy life and the process. It seems that we receive energy out of nowhere and at the same time do a lot of things. So how does the system work and what should we do to keep ourselves motivated?
So one important thing to understand here is motivation does not exist on its own. It’s always a result of our thinking. Specific purpose or message we want to send to an external world or to ourselves. If there is no message there is no motivation. The stronger the message is the stronger is the motivation. It’s that simple.
Let me give you an example. You want to read a book but you don’t know why you need to read it. When you read it you will be bored to death. Now suppose you know that something in this book will help you treat your disease which you a suffering from hard. You will read it with high interest. Or another example you read a book to express your opinion as an expert. You will again be highly interested.
Both of these examples contain a message. The first one an internal message and second an external message. Internal message is not important to anyone besides us. External is important for other people who value our opinion. But it’s important to us as well because it gives us validation and recognition as a person (remember humans are social creatures!).
Our internal messages pool is limited especially nowadays when the planet became much more safe and comfortable. However our external pool is actually limitless. We can find something which we can do well and which is valuable for other people. This is what we call our mission or purpose. Working on a purpose gives motivation and recognition. And more than that it gives input to world and make our universe a better place.
Finding a mission can take the whole life but it’s certainly worth it. It makes our life brighter and more saturated, filled with positive emotions and energy. Complete that challenge and you will find your unlimited motivation!
Thank you for your motivation
